How to Link Your Accounts in WealthTrace Using Yodlee or Plaid
How does account linking work in WealthTrace?
When you link an account in WealthTrace using Yodlee or Plaid, you are giving WealthTrace a secure, read-only connection to your financial institution, like your bank, brokerage, or retirement account.
Here’s how it works:
- Link your account – On the WealthTrace dashboard, click the plus sign next to Investment Accounts and select the option to link an account.
- Select a connection provider – You will see the option to link your account using Yodlee or Plaid. We recommend using Yodlee, as it provides more detailed account information, which helps make your financial plan more accurate.
- Log in securely – You’ll be redirected to your bank or investment institution’s login page. Enter your credentials there. WealthTrace never stores your login information directly—Yodlee handles it securely.
- Select accounts to link – After logging in, choose which specific accounts you want to connect to WealthTrace. You may also see an option to automatically link new accounts in the future.
- Automatic updates – Once linked, WealthTrace automatically retrieves your account balances, holdings, and transaction data. This keeps your financial plan up-to-date without manually entering information.
- Secure and read-only – Linking is read-only, meaning no one can move money or make trades through WealthTrace. It only pulls data to help you see your investments and plan your finances.
